A considered change, planned with a physician

Laser, light, and appearance medicine belong in a medical practice when the goal is an even, quieter complexion.

Cosmetic dermatology treatment room

How appearance medicine works here

Your physician examines the skin, names what is optional, and writes a sequence. Some concerns are medical first — rosacea, pigment that might be something else, a scar that needs a different tool. We will say so. You are never asked to pick a neurotoxin or filler from a list. Those stay in clinic, if they are appropriate at all.

What we plan in clinic

Device names matter less than the problem you want quieter. These are the classes of work we discuss — not a catalogue of brands.

Pigment and sun damage

Light-based and laser treatments for freckling, leftover marks, and uneven tone on the face, chest, or hands. Home pigment care supports the result; it does not replace the consult.

Redness and visible vessels

Vascular laser or light for persistent redness, broken vessels, and some forms of rosacea. Triggers and medical treatment still belong in the plan.

Texture and resurfacing

Non-ablative or ablative resurfacing for fine lines, roughness, and certain scars. Downtime is explained before a date is set — never after you are already numb.

Unwanted hair

Laser hair reduction on medically appropriate sites, with a frank conversation about how many sessions a typical course takes and who is a poor candidate.

Clinic injectables

Neurotoxins and fillers, when they are appropriate, are physician-selected in the room. They are not sold for you to take home or to choose from a website.

What we will not rush

Same-day stacking of every device on the menu, treatment of a changing spot that has not been examined as medicine, or a result promised from a photograph you send through the site.

Your consult

  1. History. What bothers you, what you have already tried, medications (including isotretinoin), pregnancy, and how much downtime you can actually take.
  2. Examination. We look at the skin in good light. If a mark might be medical, we stop the cosmetic conversation and treat it as a medical visit.
  3. A written sequence. What we would do first, what can wait, how to prepare, and which home-care types support the result. Prices are not invented on this page.

Who should wait

  • A tan, a recent burn, or an active infection in the treatment field
  • Pregnancy, or a medication that makes light-based treatment unsafe
  • A changing mole or a sore that has not been examined
  • An expectation that one pass will undo decades of sun
  • A request to shop a toxin or filler without being seen

Aftercare

Most plans ask for strict sunscreen, a bland cleanser, and a pause on acids or retinoids until we say otherwise. The types of products that belong in that window live on Cosmetics / Shop. When you are ready to request or refill them, open the Shop.

Ready for a considered change

Reading about appearance medicine is open to everyone. A consult, a personal regimen, or a refill is private — those steps use the Patient Portal and the Shop.

This page is educational. It is not a treatment plan and it does not invent a price. Neurotoxins and fillers are clinic care, not self-serve retail. If a spot is changing or you are unsure whether a concern is medical, start with Medical care.
