Veloura’s FACE series is a set of private photographs your physician uses to talk about lines, tone, texture, and contour. It is wellness decision support. It is not an age number, and it is not a shopping list.
Why a series, not one selfie
A single frontal photograph flattens the cheek and hides the jawline. The core series is a front view plus left and right three-quarter views — about a 45° turn so one cheek, the jaw, and both eyes stay in frame. Optional shots (eyes closed, no makeup, cheek or eye-area close-ups) add detail when your physician wants them. FACE photographs never enter the mole map.
What the series looks at
These are engineered wellness measures — proxies from the photograph, not a measured wrinkle in millimeters and not a diagnosis of aging. Lighting and makeup change the numbers. Recapture if either has changed.
Pigment and uneven tone
Cheeks and a no-makeup frontal help. This is mottling and unevenness — not a mole call.
Texture and a hydration proxy
Pore and roughness measures, and a dryness / barrier proxy. Low uniformity is a prompt to discuss care, not a product to buy on the spot.
Contour and elasticity
The three-quarter views are the fair look at cheek projection and jawline. They are not a volume diagnosis and not a reason to inject.
From a measure to a conversation
Line burden is grouped as minimal, mild, moderate, or marked. Built-in talk tracks stay conservative — sunscreen and moisturizer first; a retinoid discussion when it is appropriate; an in-office cosmetic consult when the series suggests it. If this practice has approved a formulary item for a finding, that item can replace the built-in copy. Nothing is offered as a brand aisle, and nothing is sold from this page.
