Acne and adult breakouts
Inflammatory acne, cystic flares, hormonal patterns, and scarring risk. We match treatment to severity — not to a product aisle.

Acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair, nails, and infections are not minor because they are common. We diagnose in person, explain the plan, and follow you until the skin is quieter.
Medical dermatology is the evaluation and treatment of disease of the skin, hair, and nails. It is distinct from cosmetic work. Visits are unhurried, documented in your medical record, and directed by a physician. If a concern might be cancer, we treat it as a skin-cancer visit — see Skin Cancer.
This is not a complete list. If something is new, spreading, painful, or simply not responding to what you have already tried, it belongs in the exam room.
Inflammatory acne, cystic flares, hormonal patterns, and scarring risk. We match treatment to severity — not to a product aisle.
Flushing, persistent redness, visible vessels, and acne-like bumps. Triggers and a stepwise plan matter more than a single cream.
Atopic dermatitis, contact allergy, hand eczema, and itch that interrupts sleep. We look for what is driving the flare.
Plaques, scalp involvement, inverse sites, and joint symptoms that should not be ignored. Systemic options are discussed when topical care is not enough.
Shedding, thinning, patchy loss, and scalp inflammation. Timing of the history is as important as the exam.
Discoloration, thickening, lifting, or a new dark streak. Some nail changes are infection; some need a closer look.
Bacterial, viral, and fungal disease, including recurrent cold sores and stubborn tinea. We treat the cause, not only the surface.
Melasma, post-inflammatory darkening, vitiligo, and new patches that appeared without a clear reason.
Generalized itch deserves a history and, when appropriate, laboratory context — not a dismissive “dry skin.”
Medication reactions, autoimmune skin disease, and conditions that have already seen more than one doctor.
Chronic skin disease is managed, not “cleared once.” Follow-up is how we know a plan is working and when to change it. Current patients can request a return visit, send a non-urgent concern through the Patient Portal, or call the desk if a prescribed treatment is not tolerated.
Scheduled returns for acne, eczema, psoriasis, and hair loss so we can adjust treatment before it fails.
Use the Patient Portal for refills and questions that can wait. Do not use email for urgent symptoms.
Spreading infection, blistering, facial swelling, or a drug reaction belongs on the phone today — or in emergency care.

Join ReserveWe will not diagnose a rash from a description on this website. Photographs sent through the Patient Portal help us triage timing; they do not replace an examination. If you are a new patient, start with Book Appointment. If you already have a chart here, sign in and tell us what changed.
Reading about care is open to everyone. Booking a visit, reviewing a result, or sending a personal concern is private — those steps use the Patient Portal.
This page is educational. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for a physician visit. If a spot is bleeding, rapidly changing, or you are worried today, contact the practice or seek urgent care.
